The beginning of our journey
The Origins of a Nature Enthusiast: A Story of Dedication and Hard Work
The story began on a farm nestled in the heart of Limpopo Province's Swartwater region. Eendvogelsdrift was the name of the farm, and it was here where a little girl developed a fascination with the sounds of jackals and hyenas at night. She was captivated by the wonders of nature and spent most of her time outdoors with the animals. Her passion for the natural world never waned, and it motivated her daily to pursue her dream of experiencing the bush to the fullest.
Driven by her love for the natural world, travel and photography, Renata transformed her dream of working in tourism into a reality through hard work and dedication.
Why Kedibone?
The Story of Kedibone: A Remarkable Man and Cherished Figure
Let me share with you the story of Kedibone, a remarkable man who made a profound impact on my life. Kedibone was a special person, with a heart of gold and a unique scent of tobacco, red soil, and firewood.
I have known Kedibone my entire life. He was born and raised in the province of Limpopo, in the district of Swartwater. His grandparents originally hailed from Botswana and worked closely with my great-grandparents on their farm for many years. Kedibone's mother, who had been raised by my grandmother, also worked for our family.
Kedibone, or "Kirrieboy," as we fondly called him, was always there for us kids. He was patient, kind, and always willing to lend a hand. During our school holidays, he would eagerly await our arrival and help us clean the farm's dam so we could swim in it. He followed us wherever we went, watching over us, answering our questions, and offering his support and guidance. He never let us be alone and always protected us.
Kedibone was a cherished member of our family. In fact, I named my business in his honor as a testament to the impact he had on my life.
The Power of Family Unity
Together, as a family, we can overcome any obstacle. We share moments of love, tears, song, dance, and prayer, and most importantly, we have each other and our faith in our Savior to rely on.
